Oh hey. Sup? The name’s Jaimie. I’m in a born-and-raised Wisconsinite currently residing in Denver, CO. I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Genetics and Spanish. I currently work as an associate tissue analyst for a biotech company here in Colorado. My free-time is spent going to the gym followed closely by snuggling up in bed watching Netflix until I fall asleep. Or reading. Or scrolling through Tumblr. Or finding more recipes and DIY projects on Pinterest. Oh, and of course I run this blog.

I have no background in cosmetology or culinary arts. At all. Zero. Zip. Nada. But I love looking good and I love food even more. It was time to stop admiring other people’s work and efforts and finally make something myself. This blog is a journey in both realms. I’m here to practice. I’m here to screw up. I’m here to have success. I’m here to have fun! And I’d love for you wonderful people of the internet to join in my victories and failures along the way. My dream is to become like those beauties and chefs of reddit, Pinterest, the blogosphere, etc., that I admire and who have inspired me, but for right now, I’m just here to make good use of this sudden period of free-time lacking homework and studying I’ve discovered in this new adult world.
